Our classes focus on developing our members to practice martial arts with a detailed awareness of the why behind every position, drill & technique.

The skills developed at 47 are transferable beyond the mats. The fraternity, discipline & confidence developed equip our members with the mindset to live a healthier & more fulfilling life.

We preach and practice that you are responsible for the safety of your training partner.

About our classes

Welcome to the new and improved classes and schedule at 47. This progressive level system increases in difficulty and experience as you move along in your journey of studying Muay Thai. Our goal is to create a learning experience that emphasis the right habits and skills in each phase so that you can learn the art effectively in less time. In each level, our specified instructors will work directly with each student to single out common mistakes faster, helping identify weaknesses early on. With less students per class and more students within the same experience level, I believe the flow of the classes will greatly improve the value of instruction. Our instructors will build better relationships with their students as each one of our best is specified to a level. All Levels Morning and Afternoon: This brand new class is offered for anyone interesting in learning Muay Thai from beginner to intermediate study. With typically smaller sized classes, the focus is to personally guide each student according to their individual requirements, while getting a great start to your day with a solid work out.

Level 1 Sgrol-Ma MT: Named after the Tibetan Budha-saviour, this is a very introductory course. Focusing on basic, foundational Muay Thai Training in a female only environment. No experience or prior training required.

 

Level 1 Muay Intro: Looking for a switch up from your conventional work out? Muay Intro is a starter course for those with little to no experience looking to learn the art at its most basic approach. In this class we cover the basics including stance, posture, basic movement and simple attacks and defense.  

Level 2 Muay Intro: Level 2 Muay Intro continues the study of the basics, improving form to the next level, paying attention to more details along the way. In these classes we practice and repeat attacks and defense while taking a closer look at balance and fine tuning the correct muscle groups for optimal training and growth.  

Level 1 Muay Cubs: Kids aged 6-9 enjoy a course full of positive energy while learning an introductory course to Muay Thai.

Level 2 Muay Cubs 2: Kids aged 10-14 enjoy a continued course in studying the art of Muay Thai including partner pads and bag work and partner drills and very light contact sparring.  

Level 3 Muay Fitness: Muay Fitness will build the body you're looking for with goals to develop better control in your Muay Thai movements. A continued study of Muay Thai focusing on technique, more attacks and fitness for Muay Thai.

Level 4 Bag Work: Upon level 2 graduation, students are welcome to use scheduled bag work time for doing homework from class and to practice techniques that require extra work. Please avoid disrupting the class and making excessive noise while the coaches are instructing.

Level 5 Muay Foundation 1: Foundation class will focus on the development of proper biomechanics of each individual strike to aid the learning experience of more complex combinations. The goal is to develop strong foundations with functional exercises and balanced in mind. With each strike we will assess proper muscle activations and deeper understanding of centre of gravity. Students must come to class with a partner to get the most benefit and to be kept accountable.

Level 6 Muay Foundation 2: A further look at the safety of Muay Thai, this course covers the different categories of defense with an introduction to counter attack.

Level 7 Muay Camp: For those that are ready to compete or take their training to the next level, we offer camp training and education. We cover all the details you need to know to compete and get ready for the experience of a life time.
